Although most of the nation seems to still be on some sort of lock-down or isolation, it is possible that insurance surveillance teams may be taking advantage of those who venture out. Insurance companies always conduct surveillance during the holidays and I suspect this year will be no exception.
A few public sources are reporting that families are “vacation-isolating” close to home in the woods or public campgrounds where it’s still possible to remain away from people and have a good time. Sources are also reporting that public parks are packed with RVs and Campers.
Please remember Murphy’s Law – the worst thing will happen at the worst possible time. Insurance surveillance is nothing any insured wants to take for granted even during a national pandemic.
Use common sense and be aware. Although most people will want to have a great time on July 4th, we also want to make sure insureds still have a claim on July 5th.
