In the 25 years I’ve been managing disability claims, I’ve run across AFLAC on several occasions. In my opinion, AFLAC is one of the worst insurance companies simply because they don’t cover much. Some insureds believe the company covers total disability when it is nothing more than coverage for an occasional broken leg.
In my experience, representatives spend the first few minutes on the phone telling you why you don’t qualify with a “get lost attitude.” Do people actually READ the policy before they buy it? I wonder. In any event, premium paid on this kind of policy is throwing money away.
From what I know, the policy doesn’t pay for self-reported illness such as FMS, CFS, headaches etc.but will pay if you break a bone and have a cast. At least the company got its logo right with a duck because the company sure is a quack. Not recommended.
