Just a reminder that June is the end of the 2nd Qtr. for insurers. It looks as though they are already gearing up to deny targeted claims. We can identify insurer’s intent because of increased phone calls, requests for information and more and more threatening letters.
The word is that insurers took, and are taking big hits because of COVID Life Insurance deaths, even though companies like Unum Group don’t have a really big stake in life insurance. Nevertheless, insurers are extremely aggressive and will continue to be as we get closer to June 30.
It is a good idea not to exceed medical restrictions and limitations due to increased surveillance. I recently completed another DCS brochure on surveillance available for clients only. I you have any questions about surveillance, though, please let me know.
