Disability Claims Solutions, Inc. has been in business for over twenty years. I am a fee-based Consultant providing services to clients who need assistance in managing disability claims. In addition, I have always thought it necessary to provide non-clients with information at least equal to that of the insurance company making decisions on claims.
Information about the disability claims process is very important to successful management of claims, particularly from someone who actually touched claims for an insurance company. Having someone you can trust to provide you with credible information based on 25 years of experience can make the difference in resolving problems with insurers. Many people call years later and tell me, “I spoke to you years ago and you gave me some very good advice. My claim reached maximum duration and I thank you so much.”
I’ve never refused to answer anyone’s calls asking for information; and, regardless of how much time I spent with insureds on the phone, I’ve not asked for money or payment, even from attorneys looking for info on how to litigate their claims. I have charged a per hour rate for filling out forms etc., but I would rather insureds receive the help they need for questions without asking for a credit card in advance, which is what some of my peers do.
