I’m once again receiving calls requesting my assistance for denied claims. It seems very reasonable there should be an increase in denied claims since we are within two weeks of 1st Qtr. profitability reporting.
However, the idea is not to have a denied claim in the first place. The time to solicit assistance is before the insurance companies have a chance to deny claims, not after. No one should really wants a denied claim on appeal, because most insurers do not reverse and pay, at least not without a fight.
Appeals should never be attempted by insureds because the process and law is so complicated that insureds would not be doing themselves any favors. The role of consultants is to assist insureds and claimants prevent denials, which is the best way to avoid appeals.
I’m really sorry, but I can’t help you once your claim is denied. As always I recommend contacting me, or anyone else who is qualified to help, long before your claim is denied.
