Here we are at the end of 2023 and it’s difficult to imagine where the year went. Typically, this is the time of year when I give specific information about DCS and it’s remarkable accomplishments on behalf of clients with disability claims.
There are well over 2,800 searchable articles on Lindanee’s Blog ranging from insurance definitions to detailed posts on how the claims review process works. As of today there are 1.3M views from those interested in learning more about the claims review process, and basic problem solving skills. Those managing their own claims have told me time and again how grateful they are for the information I post.
As a Consultant, I began my writing career in 1998 with a column called, “Inside UnumProvident” in Jim Mooney’s Newsletter distributed to over 500 attorneys during Unum’s Conduct Market Examinations. From there, DCS was incorporated and Lindanee’s Blog became a very popular “go to” site for publishing the truth about the disability claims process. Lindanee’s Blog today is actually the second publishing since earlier articles (1,000) were inadvertently deleted many years ago. Although Lindanee’s Blog literally “started over”, the site continues to remain popular and gained 1.3M new views.
As a company, DCS,Inc. boasts a 98% success rate overall for those who became clients, although in 2023 it’s closer to 99%.
Only two claims were denied this year representing successful management of initial applications, resolution of issues, any occupation investigations, and other risk related challenges. Much of this success stems from the library of written articles, forms, and white papers I’ve written and accumulated over the years.DCS continues to send a monthly newsletter to clients with information important “for client eyes only.”
Additionally, my records indicate that I assisted approximately 1,400 phone callers by answering claim questions and giving advice when necessary.Although my clients do come first, I take as many non-client phone calls as I have time for.
For 2023 DCS, Inc. provided assisted management for an average of 95 clients throughout the year. In the third quarter I published half of my book “From Lighthouse Success to Outhouse Failure”, which can be accessed directly from my website for free located at: http://www.disabilityclaimssoultuions.com. Those who are interested in knowing more about the history of Unum may find my book very interesting. At any rate, I’m probably the only one still willing to write about Unum and it’s negative influence upon the disability claims process.
DCS, Inc. continues to provide assisted services to both insureds and ERISA claimants. Please feel free to contact me through the website, or send an email to lindanee.dcs@gmail.com.
